The University of Utah ตั้งอยู่เมือง Salt Lake City ซึ่งเป็นเมืองหลวงของรัฐยูทาห์ เป็นเมืองที่มีกิจกรรมที่หลากหลาย รวมถึงเคยได้รับการคัดเลือกให้เป็นเจ้าภาพในการแข่งกีฬาโอลิมปิกฤดูหนาวในปี 2002

Salt Lake City เป็นเมืองหลวงของรัฐยูทาห์ และเป็นเมืองที่มีประชากรมากที่สุดในรัฐยูทาห์ โดยชื่อ “Utah” มาจากชาวพื้นเมืองอเมริกัน “Ute” หมายถึงคนของภูเขา Salt Lake City เป็นเมืองที่มีสิ่งอำนวยความสะดวกที่พร้อมเหมือนกับเมืองใหญ่ทั่วไปในอเมริกา เช่นโรงละคร พิพิธภัณฑ์ ร้านอาหาร โรงภาพยนตร์ โอเปร่า นอกจากนี้ยังมีกีฬาที่หลากหลายให้เลือกเล่น นอกจากนี้ยังห่างจากสถานที่เล่นสกีประมาณ 30 นาที Salt Lake City ยังเปรียบเสมือนเป็นประตูเมืองทางฝั่งตะวันตกที่มีความหลากหลายทางด้านวัฒนธรรม ศาสนา อาหาร และประเพณี เป็นเมืองที่มีการเติบโตเร็ว รวมถึงเป็นเมืองที่มีเทคโนโลยีชั้นสูงด้านการแพทย์ และอุตสาหกรรมซอฟแวร์คอมพิวเตอร์
