University of Houston ตั้งอยู่ที่เมืองฮูสตัน รัฐเท็กซัส ทางตอนใต้ของประเทศอเมริกา มีอาณาเขตใกล้กับประเทศแม๊กซิโก เมืองฮูสตันใหญ่เป็นอันดับที่ 4 ของประเทศทีภูมิอากาศเย็นสบายในฤดูหนาวคืออุณภูมิจะไม่ต่ำไปกว่า 4 – 5 องศา และในฤดูร้อนจะมีอุณหภูมิอยู่ที่ ประมาณ 35 – 40 องศา มหาวิทยาลัย ฮูสตันได้ถูกจัดให้อยู่ในประเภท Tier 1 คือเป็นมหาวิทยาลัยที่มีความโดเด่นทางด้านงานวิจัย มีจำนวนนักศึกษารวม 30,000 คน ภายในมหาวิทยาลัยมีอุปกรณ์อำนวยความสะดวกทั้งทางด้านการศึกษาและสันทนาการ ห้องสมุดขอมหาวิทยาลัยฮูสตัน ถือว่ามีหนังสือและสื่อการศึกษาวิจัยที่ครบถ้วน ครอบคลุมทุกสาขาวิชา ถือเป็นห้องสมุดที่สมบูรณ์ที่สุดแห่งหนึ่ง

คณะกฏหมายของมหาวิทยาลัยฮุสตัน มีนักศึกษาส่วนใหญ่เป็นคนอเมริกา เพียง 5 % เท่านั้นเป็นนักเรียนต่างขาติ นักเรียนทั้งหมดประมาณ 1,100 คน คณะกฏหมายมีบุคคลากร ซึ่งรวมถึงอาจารย์ ทั้งหมด 50 คน ทำหน้าที่สอนและอำนวยความสะดวกนักศึกษา เปิดสอนหลักสูตรปริญญาโท LLM ทั้งแก่นักศึกษาภายในประเทศและนักศึกษาต่างชาติ
หลักสูตร LLM ปริญญาโท 1 ปี ของมหาวิทยาลัยฮุสตัน ซึ่งเปิดสอนปีละ 2 เทอม คือ เทอมที่ 1 สิงหาคม – ธันวาคม และเทอมที่ 2 มกราคม – พฤษภาคม มีสาขาให้เลือก ได้แก่

จำนวนเครดิตทั้งหลักสูตร 24 เครดิต ค่าเรียนนักศึกษาต่างชาติ ปี 2012 เท่ากับ US $34,510 ทางมหาวิทยาลัยให้สิทธิ์นักศึกษากฏหมายไทยที่ต้องการเรียนต่อปริญญาโทกฏหมายในการให้ทุนการศึกษา จ่ายค่าเรียนเท่ากับนักเรียนอเมริกา ซึ่งจะลดค่าเรียนให้เหลือเพียง US 27,112อีกทั้ง นอกจากนี้ยังมีทุนการศึกษาลดค่าเรียนให้อีก 1,000 เหรียญ เทากับค่าเรียนจริงถูกลงเหลือเพียง US 26,112 เท่านั้น
เกณฑ์ภาษาอังกฤษ การรับสมัคร IELTS 6.5 หรือ TOFEL 100 (IBT)
นักศึกษาที่จบจาก La Trobe University ประเทศออสเตรเลีย ปริญญาโทใบแรก สามารถเทียบโอนหน่วยกิจ 3 เครดิต กับโครงการปริญญาโท ต่อเนื่อง 2 ใบ และไม่จำเป็นต้องยื่นผลภาษาอังกฤษแล้ว
